Francesco Raffaelli

Welcome!

I'm a PhD Candidate at the Department of Politics and International Relations at the University of Oxford and a member of the Einstein Research Group at HU-Berlin.

My research spans the fields of Identity Politics, Political Behaviour, and European Politics. From a methodological point of view, I employ surveys and experiments with a focus on causal inference.

I study individuals' attitudes on socio-cultural issues, with a focus on femo- and homonationalism, public opinion's nuances on immigration, and the politicisation of "new" issues related to gender and sexuality.

In Spring of 2024, I was a Visiting Student Research Collaborator at the Bobst Center at Princeton University.

Prior to my PhD, I received a BSc and a MSc from Bocconi University.
